Ron Butler Principal, Butler Mortgage The David Lin Report
Toronto condo closings face catastrophic risk.
Ron Butler warns of a catastrophic problem in investor-driven Toronto condominiums: new units are priced far above comparable resale units, many buyers purchased five to six years ago assuming eternal price gains, 2% interest rates, and continued mass immigration, and roughly 35,000-40,000 units are set to close in the next 12 months. With those assumptions broken, he doubts many buyers can close, making Toronto condos unattractive.
